Imaging characteristics of common suprasellar lesions with emphasis on MRI findings

V J Rao et al. Clin Radiol. 2008 Aug.

Abstract

Suprasellar masses are varied in aetiology and can present diagnostic problems for a radiologist. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has largely replaced computed tomography (CT) as a diagnostic tool for these lesions, although CT can provide complementary information in some conditions. In this article, we review imaging features of common suprasellar lesions with emphasis on MRI features.
