[Arthralgia caused by Chikungunya virus]
Abstract
A description of a protracted case of arthralgia caused by the Chikungunya virus. A Danish resident of Sri Lankan origin, who had been living in Denmark for 20 years, contracted the Chikungunya virus during a holiday stay in Sri Lanka. Eight weeks after the primary fever episode, the patient remained affected with symmetrical arthralgia in finger-, hand- and ankle joints.
