Esophageal complications in the treatment of oat cell carcinoma with combined irradiation and chemotherapy
Abstract
A case of esophageal stenosis was noted in a patient treated with a combination of irradiation and chemotherapy for oat cell carcinoma. Review of the entire series of 22 patients revealed an unusually high rate (8/22) of esophagitis. These complications are discussed in relation to timing radiation dose and multidrug chemotherapy
