International standards for sequence fidelity, established at the Second International Strategy Meeting on Human Genome Sequencing in Bermuda in 1997 (27 February to 2 March). “Finished” quality standards, commonly known as the Bermuda standards, defined finished sequence as a contiguous sequence with less than one error per 10,000 bases. Almost everything else was “draft.”
