Protecting the stomach from the "toxins" of NSAIDS and anti-platelet agents
Abstract
Non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and anti-platelet agents are some of the most commonly prescribed and utilized medications. There is overwhelming evidence of linking NSAIDs/anti-platelet agents to gastrointestinal toxicities, mouth to colon. In this article, we will review the effectiveness of interventions to prevent these GI-related toxicities.
