[What is the best way to evaluate traumatic acute knee pathology?]
Abstract
In the traumatic acute pathology of the knee, the interrogation and the clinical examination are essential in the diagnosis of the sprains especially of the serious sprains with rupture of the ACL. Any lesion of the ACL must systematically look for a meniscal lesion which will support the arthrosic evolution, and conversely. The radiographic assessment is obligatory. The RMI is carried out only secondarily to confirm the lesion of the ACL and especially to diagnose the meniscal lesions. The treatment generally includes a first stage with physiotherapy, then a second stage with surgery (ligamentoplasty), which depends on the functional request of the patient and the meniscal lesion.
