Relationships between climate policy and health. The factors in the upper part of the graph leading to GHG emissions are known as the ‘Kaya identity’, although the formula by Kaya and Yakobori captures only energy-related emissions and was originally developed for CO2 emissions. Put in words: How can we decarbonise energy production and increase energy efficiency while protecting economic growth particularly in low and middle-income countries for a growing population?
