Abstract
The review deals with a detailed discussion of specific issues related to the appropriate application of a long-saphenous-vein-friendly approach for both clinically and technically advantageous management of patients presenting with lower-limb varicose disease (LLVD), including the terminology involved, indications for and the scope of long saphenous vein-saving operations, the functional state of the vein thus preserved, and finally followed by analysing therapeutic efficacy, adequacy, and outcomes obtained thereby.
