[Supply induces demand for health care services]
Abstract
The existence and extent of supplier-induced-demand has received considerable attention in health economics, but the debate shows no sign of abating. The current status of the recent literature is summarized followed by a presentation of the findings from two studies of GP utilization patterns in Denmark.
