Neurologic complications of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Pierre Giglio et al. Curr Hematol Malig Rep. 2006 Dec.

Abstract

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma can affect the central and peripheral nervous systems. Involvement may include parenchymal or leptomeningeal metastasis, paraneoplastic involvement, or neurologic complications resulting from chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Immunosuppression related to the disease or its treatment may result in infections involving the nervous system. This review discusses direct involvement of the peripheral nervous system by lymphoma, paraneoplastic syndromes associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and nervous system infections in lymphoma patients.
