Abstract

The clinical picture of sinusitis is often a result of multiple factors. Combined medical and surgical treatment of the defects present can restore the patient to a state of health. The family physician may need the help of specialists. This article describes both acute and chronic sinusitis, how they differ in the clinical picture, and how they can best be managed.
