Abstract

We discuss methods of dissection of the congenitally malformed heart in relationship to the process of sequential segmental analysis. On the basis of our study of an extensive series of malformed hearts, we highlight the lesions that have resulted in faulty dissections and provide some caveats by which these errors can be minimized.
