Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Abstract
COPD continues to be a severe condition in horses. Despite increased understanding of its pathogenesis, there is relatively little information on effective treatment regimens. Management and prevention are critical, and more emphasis should be placed on improved housing, bedding, and feeding. More sophisticated accurate methods also are required for identifying specific causative allergens.
