Renal biopsy consistent with acute and early chronic drug-induced interstitial nephritis. (A): A mixed interstitial infiltrate of lymphoplasmacytic cells, predominantly eosinophils. Moderate tubular injury was also noted, with tubular cell swelling, vacuolization, focal simplification of tubules with bland casts, and reactive and regenerative changes.
