A new method for labelling of monoclonal antibodies and their fragments with technetium-99m
Abstract
A new method of labelling of antibodies with technetium-99m is described. The antibody or fragment is derivatized by iminothiolane. Ligand exchange from a labile technetium complex such as TcO(GLU)2- results in greater than 90% of the technetium labelling the antibody. This method appears to be equally applicable to antibodies and fragments.
