[Detection of lethal mutations appearing in the somatic tissue cells of Drosophila]
Abstract
A method of selective screening of recessive sex-linked lethal mutations, that are manifested only in somatic cells of D. melanogaster, has been developed. Lethals were induced with X-irradiation of X-chromosomes at the moment of their topographic segregation from embryonic somatic cells. Analysis of mutation expression confirmed the method selectivity.
