Microcephaly and vulnerability of the brain in the etiology of cerebral palsy
Abstract
A review of data showed that of 100 children referred with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of cerebral palsy (CP), 37 children had microcephaly, defined as a head with a circumference of two standard deviations (SD) or more below the mean for age and sex. Is such a finding of any significance in the etiology of cerebral palsy?
