[Skin manifestations in HIV infection]
Abstract
A review of the spectrum of dermatologic findings related to human immunodeficiency virus infection is presented. Oral candidiasis, seborrheic dermatitis, oral hairy leukoplakia, herpes simplex infections and molluscum contagiosum were among the most frequently encountered dermatologic disorders among the HIV-seropositive individuals. The recognition of cutaneous manifestations is of particular importance for the early diagnosis and prognosis of HIV-infection.
