2-Methyl-N'-(4-nitro-benzyl-idene)benzohydrazide
Abstract
The title hydrazone compound, C(15)H(13)N(3)O(3), was prepared by the condensation of 4-nitro-benzaldehyde with 2-methyl-benzohydrazide in methanol. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 14.8 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis.
