Evidence-based African first aid guidelines and training materials
Abstract
Stijn Van de Velde and colleagues describe the African First Aid Materials project, which developed evidence-based guidelines on administering first aid in the African context as well as training materials to support the implementation of the guidelines.
Conflict of interest statement
The authors have declared that no competing interests exist. For reasons of transparancy we declare that Stijn Van de Velde received funding from the Laerdal Foundation of Acute Medicine for a trial on bystander helping behaviour for myocardial infarction following first aid training.
