Abstract

Rheography revealed abnormalities of uterine hemodynamics in 71 women with toxemia of pregnancy. Three-five hyperbaric oxygenation treatments as part of the management were found to be associated with a significant improvement of its efficacy and normalization of hemodynamic status. Longer regimens of hyperbaric oxygenation resulted in a persistent increase in peripheral vascular resistance.
