Modification of a commercial microwave oven for animal sacrifice in cyclic GMP assays
Abstract
After sacrifice with a modified Litton Minutemaster(R) commercial oven rat cerebellar tissues were assayed for cyclic guanosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cGMP) concentrations. The results were found to be comparable to recent literature reports in which microwave sacrifice employed considerably more intense and more costly energy sources.
