Abstract
THE EMERGENCE OF A BIOLOGIC THERAPY OFTEN PRESENTS INSURERS WITH A DILEMMA: how to establish coverage policies when evidence of effectiveness and published guidelines could be years away? Medicare's new policy may provide some guidance, but its application is controversial.
