[Karyotype evolution of suborder (Ruminantia)]
Abstract
Suborder Ruminantia is the largest taxa in order Cetartiodactyla and includes species with great differences in morphology and diploid numbers of chromosomes. To date, the main chromosome changes that formed karyotypes of modern species of this suborder have been described by comparative chromosome painting. This paper provides a brief review of the features of the evolution of Ruminantia karyotypes.
