Microcomputers
Abstract
Occupational therapists are becoming increasingly aware of the potential applications of microcomputers in various practice settings. The purpose of this paper is to describe the components of a microcomputer and provide an orientation to the multitude of applications in different areas of practice. Commonly asked questions such as "How do I get started?" and "How can the computer be used in my setting?" are addressed, and suggestions for determining the appropriate computer to fit specific needs are discussed.
