Tremor syndromes
Abstract
Purpose of review: The purpose of this review is to explain a practical clinical approach to the diagnosis and management of tremor.
Recent findings: A number of rare but important causes of tremor have been delineated, which means that attention to detail in clinical assessment of patients with tremor is even more important.
Summary: Tremors are best divided into those occurring mainly at rest, mainly on posture, and mainly during action. This basic division leads directly to differential diagnosis and effective treatment.
