[Angiographic studies of liver metastases and primary liver tumors with an oily contrast medium]
Abstract
First, limited experiences with hepatic angiography using an oily contrast medium (Lipiodol) show an accumulation of the Lipiodol in a hypervascularized primary hepatic carcinoma. No enhancement could be seen in hypovascularized metastasis of a colonic cancer. There were no side effects of the intraarterial application of the oily contrast medium in the examined patients.
