[Systematic and random errors in the determination of parameters of the acid-base equilibrium]
Abstract
A review is given of the most common errors made in the estimation of the parameters of acid-base balance. Especially important are the systematic errors, for instance in handling the blood before estimation, by use of incorrect standard solutions or poor temperature control during the measurement of the pH. By paying attention to these details, it is possible to obtain excellent precision in final measurement in the standard apparatus.
