Proteins as parameters in the discrimination between different blood-CSF barriers
Abstract
Data on cerebrospinal fluid to serum concentration ratios for albumin, IgG and alpha 2-macroglobulin were analysed by groupings based on electrophoretic or clinical criteria. Statistically significant differences (P less than 0.01) were found for distinguishing up to three different blood-CSF barriers, when compared to normal barrier function.
