Abstract
The combination of brain imaging and genetics promises to identify neural mechanisms underlying complex traits such as cognition and psychiatric disorder. The study by Heck et al. (2014) in this issue of Neuron highlights voltage-gated cation channel activity as a likely link and culprit.
