[Changes in blood kallikrein-kinin system in odontogenic diffuse phlegmons of the face and neck]
Abstract
A study of 61 patients with odontogenic diffuse phlegmons has revealed considerably activated kininogenesis, with reduced blood proteolysis inhibitor activity in cases of severe purulence. Therefore, agents enhancing systemic antitrypsin activity should be used as part of combined treatment in this category of patients.
