A proximal radial metaphyseal fracture presenting as wrist pain

Abstract

Fractures as well as subluxation of the radial head may present as wrist pain in children. A case is presented of a fracture of the proximal intact metaphysis which presented with wrist pain. Injuries presenting with wrist pain in children who have normal wrist roentgenograms must also have the elbow examined closely.
