Morbidity occurrence during the 11-year observation period presented as a function of age and serum ferritin level category. Each bar represents a single patient. The bar starts at the patient’s base-line age, and represents serum ferritin level (≤300, >300 to <800, and ≥800 ng/mL) and number of new morbidities for every subsequent year, over the 11-year period. None of the patients had any morbidity at the start of observation.
