Abstract

Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in American women. Fewer than 25% of women diagnosed with breast cancer are aware of all of their reconstructive options. This article reviews options for breast reconstruction and the team approach that can help women feel whole again after breast cancer surgery.
