Abstract

Introduction: Dental implant treatment has been applied widely in recent years. However, several complications sometimes have been reported. Although displacement of dental implants into the maxillary sinus commonly occurs during surgery, the migration of dental implants after a period of function, especially several years after dental implant placement, is very rare.

Case report: We report here removal of migrated dental implants from the maxillary sinus 4 years and 10 months after dental implant placement.
