[Hormonal action on the physiology of osteoblasts]
Abstract
In this review the recent knowledge of the hormonal control of osteoblastic cells in presented. I refer to the action of parathormone, vitamin D3, glucocorticoids, calcitonin and other hormones stating the very recent experimental works, and I make speculations about the possible mechanism of bone resorption as a result of hormonal action. So far, osteoblasts are more and more implicated in this mechanism during pathologic resorption or physiological bone turnover.
