Abstract

Presently, gauze is the dressing of choice for exit site care. This article evaluates a different type of exit site dressing called Blisterfilm, a unique polyurethane adhesive film that has greater oxygen permeability, decreases the amount of pressure exerted on the catheter and exit site, and is easily removed.
