[Comparative results of the past and present surgical treatment of retinal detachment]

Abstract

Compared are the surgical methods and postoperative results of retinal detachment surgery used in the years 1976-1980 and in the last 7 years. In the last years 89.7% of favourable results have been achieved and this is a much better result than 58.6% in the former period.
