[Jean Oury, "I am a poumista"]
Abstract
If being a poumista means considering that people disalienate themselves by revolutionising the world, being a poumista psychiatrist consists in taking into consideration psychological alienation and social alienation. Hence the importance of hospital committees and clubs, to give back to patients the status of a subject and to understand the question of hierarchy. The caregiver in psychiatry must bear in mind that one of the essential dimensions of their work is to "make do with" schizophrenic patients and that they must engage in everyday acts.
