[Isolated effort arterial hypertension: a hypertensive risk factor?]
Abstract
The authors report their personal experience regarding the interpretation of an increased blood pressure response during stress in patients with a normal blood pressure at rest. Through a retrospective study concerning 30 subjects, it seems that such a blood pressure anomaly during stress, may be considered as a true hypertensive risk factor. These results are confirmed in the international literature. The authors advocate, in this indication, the only interpretation of the systolic blood pressure during a standardized stress test and estimate its predictability at more than 225 mmHg during stress.
