Essential roles of 70kDa heat inducible proteins
Abstract
The 70 kDa heat inducible proteins (hsp70s) are a highly conserved family of proteins found in every organism examined. Some hsp70 proteins are essential for cell viability. Recent work has revealed that these proteins are involved in the movement of proteins into and through various compartments of the eukaryotic cell.
