[Evaluation of the cryosurgical treatment of retinal detachment]
Abstract
The authors present the results of retinal detachment surgery by means of cryopexy and Arruga's cerclage of the eye ball. Among 267 operated patients a favourable result has been obtained in 220, i.e. in 82.4%. A repeated retinal detachment in the late postoperative period occurred in 9.5% of the patients.
