SNPs in the binding motifs are shown (arrows) with their major/alternative alleles. ChIP-seq data (tracks 2 and 3) is taken from(7) along with the relative locations of globin genes and the LCR (track 4). Extensive homology between HBG2 and HBG1 makes mapping to these regions difficult and ChIP-seq data only showed uniquely-mapped binding in HBG1 (track 3)
