Pneumococcal peritonitis in the presence of intra-uterine device--conservative treatment; a case report
Abstract
Presented is a case of pneumococcal peritonitis in the presence of an IUD. The bacteriological identification was made by culturing material obtained via culdocentesis on admission. Treatment was conservative. The English literature is reviewed.
