[Effect of controlled bacteria-free medium on the course of the wound process in patients with chronic venous insufficiency of the legs complicated by trophic ulcer]
Abstract
Treatment in a controlled abacterial medium was applied to 102 patients with venous ulcer of the lower limbs. The course of the wound process was studied on the basis of objective examination methods (microbiological, cytological, morphological, study of the activity of tissue hemostasis factors). The results showed that a controlled abacterial medium causes favourable changes in the course of the wound process and allows the trophic ulcer to be prepared for operation in a short period of time (9-12 days).
