[Changes in arterial pressure and concentration of several hormones in the blood effected by hemosorption in patients with arterial hypertension caused by parenchymatous diseases of the kidneys]
Abstract
The authors present the indices of blood pressure (BP), plasma renin activity, the concentration of aldosterone, cortisol, adrenocorticotropic and antidiuretic hormones in 56 patients with arterial hypertension resulting from kidney parenchymatous diseases before hemosorption and at varying time after it. A decrease in the patients' BP is shown to occur in parallel with the redistribution of the blood levels of the above hormones. Possible mechanisms of BP reduction are discussed.
