This axial image shows a well-circumscribed contrast-enhanced heterogenous mass (white arrow) with a hypoenhanced thin rim and a central stellate scar, characteristic of a cardiac paraganglioma. (B) Intraoperative image of the exposed heart. The white asterisk denotes the aorta and the black asterisk the right ventricle. The black arrow points to a richly vascularized mass found in the atrioventricular groove.
