Mania in adolescence
Abstract
The clinical features, treatment, and outcome of bipolar disorder in a consecutive series of 14 adolescent patients are described. Diagnostic confusion was common, although the clinical features were similar to those found in adult patients. Treatment response and short-term outcome seemed favorable. The findings are discussed in the light of current literature.
