Only seven studies with evaluation of arrhythmia-free rate in patients >75 years old and a control group were included. No heterogeneity analysis was performed, since all studies were observational. Statistical analysis and graphical presentation were performed using Excel 2003 SP3 (Microsoft Corporation, USA). AF: atrial fibrillation.
