A 1-year-old spayed female cat was presented with tachypnea and a protrusion on the ventral thorax. Radiography revealed ventral sternal subluxation between the 6th and 7th sternebrae. There was no evidence of respiratory distress, even after follow-up, and a conservative management approach was successful in this healthy, young, indoor cat.

Subluxation sternale aiguëchez un chat d’intérieur. Une chatte stérilisée âgée de 1 an a été présentée avec de la tachypnée et une protrusion sur le thorax ventral. La radiographie a révélé une subluxation sternale ventrale entre le 6e et le 7e sternèbre. Il n’y avait pas de signe de détresse respiratoire, même après le suivi, et une approche de gestion prudente a été efficace chez ce jeune chat d’intérieur en santé.(Traduit par Isabelle Vallières).
